Hi:
Try prying out the Land Rover green oval emblem from the rear license light. Do it very carefully with a butter knife or sumething with a blunt end with a piece of cloth involved on it. You should have a pretty nicer view of the rear door latch. Soak it in liquid wrench, WD40 or slilicone lubricant, (the latter the best one to use). Post results.
