+1.
Quite frankly, I've always thought the FJ80 was the perfect example of the luxo 4by that the Discovery and Range Rover should have been. Put some better axles with factory lockers under the Rover, and electronics that aren't as crazy as a redheaded ex-girlfriend, and the LR would be the best 4x4xfar.
I enjoy the hell out of my Disco, and I'm well aware of it's shortcomings. BUT, it's perfect for my needs (DD, the perfect transport for all my friends, and the perfect vehicle for driving and camping on the beach), and I love the fit and feel of it. It's relatively small vehicle, but it has a cavernous interior.
My only really major gripe with my LR is that if I break down, I can't just waltz into an AZ, or O'Reilly's and get parts for it.
I guess bottom line is that us LR enthusiasts are just as nucking futs as Jeep enthusiasts: we both know that our respective vehicles have some shortcomings, but try telling us that and we'll smack you silly.
Have a

and just be glad you're not driving a Honda
