today = pas,ace,atf changes

had some quick questions regarding the atf change

1) royal purple is 16.99 a quart! geez....went with valvoline....

2) i wanted to see how you guys measure how much oil you are refilling....because using a hand pump leaves a small but substantial portion left in each quart .... i bought 6 quarts, and used about 4.5, i thought i was able to put in 5-5.5, but after adding all the leftovers back into a regular quart container...they filled it...

3) how do i know i put in enough? i drained then filled til it beaded out, turned on car and went through gears twice, put back in park, opened up filler, and filled again til it beaded out...sound good? now, it wasn't necessarily gushing out, but each pump i would do would result in a constant flow coming out....hopefully i put in enough

4) hand pumps suck! arms are tired.....
5) exhaust is hot! burn on elbow...
6) hex nuts are a pain if they haven't been serviced in a while....
7) having to drive front wheels onto 4x4 blocks to make enough room to fit under.....still doesn't give me enough room....

Now, I'm begining to think I have more problems than just the diff. The truck would move (barely) then the transmission would start slipping and I would lose any drive. That's about as much as I moved it before it went on the flatbed and into the shop. It's in the shop waiting on a trutrac to be put in so while it's there I'd like to have them check out any other problems while it's waiting on parts. From doing a little reading up, I think it could be a broken transfer case causing this. What's the best way to check it? I checked over the low voltage connectors at the coils several times. I Put an old plug wire on and it also does not produce spark. I Immobilized the vehicle by disconnecting the fuel shut off inertia valve and re-connecting it and then placing the key in the ignition to re-moblilize it and it does not seem to be the issue. I was wondering if somehow during this wire change job the ECM may have dissabled the spark to the coils and if so how can I fix it. I also inspected every fuse. i just purchased a rovertym front bumper and rovertym 2" lift springs. i had to get the bumper because my stock bumper was wrecked and pushed in enough to where it was almost rubbing my stock tires.

i'm going for the 32"s, is the 265/75/R16 the correct size?

i've seen some goodyear a/t's at walmart that caught my eye. i know bf goodrich a/t's are the normal go to, but what do you guys think about the cooper equivalent?

i know the old man emu are also the norm but i was suggested by a guy at rovertym to check out the bilstein. has anyone ever had any experience with that particular bilstein. and what part number am i looking for to go with a 2" lift. i'm trying to stay away from the yellow shocks.

also, a suggested steering damper for the front.

I can tell that it is disengaged from underneath because I can spin the driveshaft and see that they are no longer locked (on jackstands).
