I need new tires. I was hoping to get a hydrid tires .If I were to change tires on 04 Disco (with lift) from Michelin Tour 255/55/18 to Cooper Zeon LTZ 285/60/18, how would that effect performance? Would they fit well?
Is that a good choice for a hydrid tire?

225/65/18 snow tire experience?

I have my first Lr3 arriving soon, its a 06 with HD package and I am shopping for snow tires for the New England Winter.

I can get the Nokian Hakka 5 SUV in the stock 255/60/18 but they also have a 225/65/18.

Its only 1.8% smaller then the stock size. I can get a Nokian Hakka SUV 5 in this size and I always have heard one should no as narrow as possible with snow tires.

Any words of wisdom on this reasoning?

Regards,

Looking for some expertise here....
First, anyone know the load limit per wheel on our 18" Hurricane wheels ?
Second, what would be the minimum load rating per wheel that one would
want to put on their Disco give max. vehicle weight (6200 lbs.) ? I know it
can't be as simple as 6200 divided by four....:confused

Tire Size on an 19-20 inch wheel

Alright guys, I realize this forum is traditionally an off-roading forum and most of you could never fathom something larger than a 16" wheel. However, I've got a disco II that I am putting an OME standard lift kit on. The most off roading I do is gravel roads (I know, this is blasphemy to you guys). I'd like to run a 20 inch wheel with a tire diameter of around 33". I understand from reading that this is pushing it with the OME lift, but I am hoping since I am staying on road I can get away with it. Can you guys share some insight into a tire selection for me? I was looking at a 275/60/20. Again, my apologies for keeping my disco on the pavement. My wife and I love this care, and I just want to update the look and give it a nice aggressive stance. TIA for your input!

Howdy,
I'm new to the forum world. I was wondering if anyone new how much lift I need on my 95' Disco, to clear 35x12.50's? I've spent countless hours searching the web, and I haven't found squat. My goal is to run 35's with the smallest amount of lift possible, so as to keep the center of gravity as low as I can. Obviously, I know that I'll need to upgrade my axles, driveshafts, ect... as well as change my gearing, and trim the crap out of my fenders. Thanks!

Hi guy's ....

I have a "Non-Land Rover" tire question.

We have a 05' GMC Yukon and I am looking at getting some good A/T tires. I love the BFG's as they are awesome...also fucking exspensive. Anyone on here have a tahoe, suburban, yukon etc that has A/T's and can advise as I need a good snow tire too. Nothing to rugged as let's face it...it's a Yukon and is a great truck, but not the most quality offroading machine. Just going to use to go elk hunting and driving through the passes and around town for stuff and occasional towing.

Any ideas would be welcome.I know tires ok but every truck has it's own quirks and depending on make..it's own drivability issues. Not just one A/T will do for every truck if you get what I'm saying.

Ok team....I am looking at a sweet deal on some Privat Rohr 18" wheels to replace my Hurricanes (lovely but time for a change...). I have lined up Hubcentric rings for them, but the dealers tech is telling me that I will have
to switch from my factory lugs over to a 14x1.5 "Acorn Spline Lug". Basically a thinner replacement that will fit the wheels. I hate "shrinkage" on anything
having to do with a Land Rover, but will this end up being ok ??:confused:confused
