I run an aid agency in Africa and am currently selling off about fifteen of our older vehicles, including three Land Rover Tdis.
Most of them are Toyotas and already can be sold through local channels, but as I know of the value of older Land Rover assets in the US, I thought it could be interesting to see if anyone would be interested in purchasing them to raise money for our charity (see Jacana - Home). The cars are all complete but in heavily-used condition, they are all 2.5 Tdi models and the engines, although two are currently running, would undoubtedly need significant rebuilding. I thought that there might be interest in such vehicles in the US as possible project 4x4s or rebuilds, and we can sell the three of them, loaded as spares in a 20 foot container, for twenty-seven thousand USD cost, insurance, and freight paid to any eastern US port. The funds will be re-invested in our charitable activities. Just to be clear although two of the three cars are running they are not in immediately drive-able condition and are also right-hand-drive so would need to be converted to be used in the States. If you are interested we can exchange photos, etc., as we take this forward. Thanks a lot, Matthew |

Matthew -- What year were the trucks manufactured? Right now, it's easy & legal to import 110s from 1983 only (We have a 25 year law here). Some people bring newer vehicles in as grey markets with questionable legal status. Also, another avenue is Canada, where their laws are 15 years instead of 25. RHD's are legal to drive in the US as well, just most people prefer LHDs.
Definitely post up some pictures on here, I'd be interested to see them!

Doesn't really seem too sketchy, 3 110s/130s in various stages for 27k shipped isn't an amazing deal, but its probably 10x more than they'll sell for locally there
