Question 1997 Defender??

Hi. This may be a long shot, but I'm looking for a red, automatic, 1997 Land Rover Defender with low miles. Anyone have any suggestions?....

I would google on the LR dealerships of every major city. Ex: Denver Land Rover, Dallas Land Rover, etc etc. They typically get 'em in & out from time to time. Also E-Bay of course. You can also post Want-To-Buy threads on the other major LR boards, and the LR club boards around the country.

All 97 US D90 s were automatics, There were more imported in '97 than each of '94 or '95

wow for that price your better off with an 04 disco with a warranty.

I do know the last years of the defenders werent cheap though. one in good condition can set you back quite a bit.

EBaymotors.com, www.d-90.com (Under the Cars for Sale section of the forums), http://www.copleymotorcars.com/index.html and www.lrx.com are the places where you'll find the most of them. Expect to pay anywhere from $25k-50k for it depending on mileage, condition, color and who is selling it.

There are 9 1997 D90s on ebay right now. Here's a pretty nice red SW with a reserve of under $30k

What kind of miles are you looking for on it. I bought mine a year and a half ago and it had 20,000 miles on it but set me back 40,000 dollars. High miles of course will decrease the price. If you want an immaculate D90 i would check Copley Motor Vehicles. He always seems to have top of the line trucks. D90.com also has a lot of trucks on there.
