2.5 NA Diesel

Does anyone have a 2.5 NA diesel and if you do, do you get blue smoke when you first start it?

I've got a 2.25 NA (basically the same, just smaller).

All these in-direct injection engines will puff out some blue smoke when you start from cold, and will do so for about 5 minutes until they warm up inside.

You shouldn't get blue smoke when you start it when warm- you should get a small puff of black. If you're getting blue smoke when warm, the injection pump timing needs to be adjusted.

aye not to worry at worst you may have weeping valve stem seals but its nowt to worry about as long it is clear (ish) after it warmed up a bit all is well
