Default Blown head gasket TD5 or swap??

Bought a 2002 defender td5 in Costa Rica, not too many good mechanics here. The engine had a lot of blow by. One day it overheated due to a busted hose. I ran for for 5 minutes. Since i replaced the jose, ot ran cool and of course the blow by continued out the oil cap. Ran great for a week then suddenly oil everywhere under the hood and water in the engine. Is it just the head gasket or can ot be a cracked block, head etc...Are any of the above common issues.
I know its not well respected but i heard there is an easy Mitsubishi swap. Can anyone recommend and easy swap that will work with the transmission and gear box or a place that will ship a clean Td5 to Costa Rica? Thanks

From what I understand Land rover highly discourage the replacement of the head gasket with out replacing the head as being an alloy block it may have distorted when it overheated. On saying that I have read in a UK mag that there are companies who are able to fix the head with great success.
