Gas Cap?
Silly question for the forum. I recently bought a 110 Mod diesel and noticed the gas cap is really a hockey puck, with some metal tabs screwed into to it that engage in the filler neck! While its somewhat functional (Keeps the rain out of the tank), it doesn't really keep the diesel in the tank. The passenger is covered in diesel right now (OK, I might of over filled it a little, but still...). I contacted Rovers North and they sent one that they thought would fit, but it doesn't. Next I took pictures of the cap and the filler neck and RN (In a very apologetic voice) told me they THINK that they can get the correct part, but is special order (Read no return) and it costs $140.00 (That US $)!!! Any ideas on this? I think I understand why the hockey puck was used! Hate to spend that kind of money on a gas cap, but the current solution isn't really working.
Thanks,
Geoff
