This one is a 2000 titled as a 72, owner claims it was a 72 that was rebuilt using 2000 110 TDI parts, like anyone would believe that.
ok.. time to call BS.... I quote his description.... "The chassis and bulkhead are solid and 100% original. No patches. No welds. No rust. All of the outriggers, front horns, supports, and rear cross member are original." Well if the chasis and bulkhead are original 1972 (ie series III, which I might add is leaf sprung...) how did he convert it to a coiler with no welding... and if there is a 300 Tdi with a R380 5-speed manual transmission and Full time 4x4 Center locking differential , how do you enlarge the tranny tunnel opening to accept that with the original bulkhead, and no patches....

This green 2000 TDIthe guy is selling now on Ebay was bought last year on Ebay from a guy on Long Island who brings in several gray market Defenders titled as Series trucks. It is interesting because he uses the same wording in his ads verbatim, claiming that it is his dailey driver, rebuilt using Defender parts, etc.. I even saved the pictures from the first auction and compared them with the ones on there now. Same truck, this guy put the alloys on, tintedt the windows, clear turn signal lenses, a bunch of stickers...

There is also a guy in Nebraska that brings in several a year and repaints them.
