i know this is about importing a defender, but I'm curious about what are the state laws on dropping in a tdi in a 93 NAS defender, I've seen the websites like ecr's and such about getting a tdi, but can anyone shed some light on this matter, mind you I live in California, so our regulations are tad bit insane. I know I've other vehicles around other states with the tdi dropped into their NAS. Is it possible to do it here, in the land of the crazy hippies.
On another note I just noticed this state charges a 18 cent excise tax on petrol. These people are ludicris and are some money hungry whores who feel its better to fill their pockets.
