I am going to buy a scanner or alternatively an interface and software in order to hook my truck up to my lap top. Although I am neophyte to this vehicle I am a seasoned citizen/mechanic and can probably understand what you might suggest.
Is the Defender OBD1 interface and protocol common with any other more familiar makes such as GM or whatever?
Could anyone offer suggestions concerning hardware and/or software identification and purchase?
Why use a scanner?? Your 95 has an LED display under the passenger's seat. When the CEL comes on, you'll get a number on the display. Several places on the net provide the issue related to each number.
