Default New Shocks

Hello,

I need to get shocks for my new Land Rover. It's a 90 with about 2" Lift.

I was thinking about Fox, King or Bilstein 7100 with remote reservoir (I believe they are all in the same price range)!

I was looking at pictures of all three, and I would like to hear opinions on the eyelets/ rod ends, as Bilstein`s seems to be weaker than King and Fox! Have you had any experiences with that? What about the shafts??

What shocks do you guys use? Any pros / cons. Let me know what you got thanks.

Regards,
Joca

I use these.
Tough Dog Dealer - 45mm Adjustable Big Bore Shock Absorbers
Great shock and work well.
As to the overkill (of the Fox), it depends on the type of roads you are traveling. In Aus quite a few people run remote res systems to deal wil the heat of corigations 200 kms of these will heat a standard shork to the point of failure. There are some advantages to these types of shocks such as rebuild kits and the like but man the price. Just way up the time on road on the type of terain you will be driving off road, as this will help choose the best shock for your application.
I chose the adjustable type as you can make change between nice and light for slow off road trails and then dial it harder for on road.

while the reservoir may be overkill, he can get the EXACT rebound/compression and travel he wants out of any of those. they are completely tunable. unlike shitty OMEs that only have 8" of travel and the valving is only known as "MD" or "HD".
