The R380 gearbox runs very hot, hence the transmission oil cooler. It's a mixed blessing on mine, since it does a better job providing heat in the winter than the heater does. Only thing I'd suggest is that you check that your gearbox fluid is up to level, and doesn't appear, or smell burned. It's ATF.
There are a variety of good thermal blanket materials you can apply to the underside of the transmission tunnel.
