I have just been told my 90 defender will fail an MOT because the steering box is leaking. They have told me a new box will cost 350 pounds. I see you can buy a seal kit. Is this a more sensible way to go?
The vehicle doesnt get heavy off road usage but has 48k and is 4 yrs old. Any thoughts from the experts gratefully received. |

My suggestion is getting a brand new box, if u chose to replace the sealkit, it may cost more than 200 pounds due to the labor charges, while it is still a used part,(except u can do it by urself), but ur car's only done 50Ks, nearly a new car, it does worth to get a new box for it.
poor guy, just out of warranty. Good luck |
