Default Sliding Windows 1983 110

Hello all:
I just bought a 1983 110 with sliding windows. The sliding glass panel in the driver's door is out and we are trying to see if there is an easy way to put it back in. Also, the knobs on the second seat windows will not turn. Are these knobs meant to move the sliding portion of the window or do they simply lock the glass in place. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

The only way to get the slider back in is to remove the tiny screws that hold the tracks in place. If they are like most of that vintage, they are probably ready for renewal anyway. the hardest part is actually find the screw head, so take an awl or ice pick and slide it down the tracks, upper and lower till it drops into the screw head. Sometimes, they used tiny phillips head screws, and I have also seen slotted screws.
The knobs you speak of sound like the window locks, they turn 90 degrees, the pop outward to allow the window to open. You may need to spray them with liquid wrench, PB blaster, or other penetrant before they work again.

This is great information! Thank you very much. I was worried a little about forcing anything but now I know much more than I did a few minutes earlier. I really appreciate your advice.
