I HAVE AN O2 AND I AM HAVING A TICKING NOISE.ITS LOUD AT COLD START UP AND SOMETIMES IT SMOOTHS OUT.CHANGED OIL AND RAN ADDITIVE,NOTHING.USED HIGH OCTANE GAS, HELPED SOME.I CHANGED OUT THE INLET MANIFOLD,SAME TICKING. ANY IDEAS APPRECIATED.

if you put in a new intake manifold and its still ticking.
its the lifters. you dont loose coolant or have oil in the coolant at all do you.

I find this happening sometimes. I have absolutely no idea what causes it, but it sounds like it comes from the rear of the car to me. It's a little bit faster than a clock, almost like something dripping. It's easier to hear when sitting in the rear.
