'09 key stuck in ignition and won't start

Hello I am new here looking for an answer I did some searching but couldn't find what I was looking for. Went to start my 2009 lr2 the other morning and the ignition accepted my key but wouldn't start when I pressed the button. Have had issues in the past with it starting after it sits for 3-4 days but thought that got fixed last time it was serviced as something in radio was causing battery to drain. When I went to have it release my key I got nothing and it wouldn't release it and I can't even pull it out. I just assumed my battery was totally dead so I put it on a charger and has been on it for a few days now and still nothing. My other key works to unlock and lock doors and everything seems to be powered (lights mainly) but it still won't release my key and it still doesn't start. I've thought about disconnecting battery and doing a hard reset by touching cables together but don't know if I should do that with my key stuck in ignition. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
