Hey Ya'll:
I did the first oil change on my new '03 Freelander. My Freelander isn't like the Rave Service Manual or Owner's Manual says. I do not have a pan that completely covers the underside of the engine. I have to plastic pieces that cover the edges. One is under the Oil filter and the other is on the other side. How do I get that plastic piece off so I can get the oil filter removed. It would appear that previous mechanics just removed the rear bolt and pull the plastic piece down as much as possible. Then they removed the oil filter. That was all I could figure out today. Is there an easier way to change oil in the car? Help me Pat vanillanut@gci.net |
