87 or 93 octane

i got a 05 Free Lander v6 SE and i noticed where the gas cap goes it says minimum 87 octane. I filled it up with 87 octane but i wanted to know what you guys use, if it performs better with the 93 and if it gives you better mpg. Like i just bought the car over the weekend i really dont know. before you guys say look at the owner manual, like its used it didnt come with it.

I bought a Freelander SE a few months ago and studied the mileage for a while after I bought it. I couldn't figure out why it was so bad. Turns out one of the tires had 15psi in it. During that time I learned that you can expect big improvements in performance with 93 octane. Even decent with mid-grade fuel. However, I didn't really get any better mileage with the high test gas, just more power. If you want better mileage pump up the tires to about 35psi. This I know will give you results.
