Default easy way to change the oil

Hi
I'm new with Freelander (2001), please any one to tell me in which side to look for the drain to change the engine oil? Do I have to remove the (protection bottom gaurd) to find it?
Thanks

Its easy to change. I have an 02 Freelander. The filter is in front of the passenger front wheel. You can get these at most parts stores. The drain plug is easily accessed without removal of the protection guards. Takes about 7-8 qts.

Not fram for the filter. For the oil look in the owners manual and follow the recommendations in there.
