Default Freelander 1.8 exchange engine waiting for gasket problem ?

Hi

I just bought Freelander 1.8 2002. After couple of weeks I noticed coolant water was leaking and after searching internet noticed that this engine has head gasket problem. After some investigation I found out that the engine was changed at the beginning of 2008 with land rover´s exchange motor LBB111740E. I contacted local Land Rover Importer and their technical specialista and also a mechanic from service assured me that this engine should not have overheating and head gasket problems any more (stated that there had been some desing improvements). I just wonder if this is tue ? Does the part number tell anything about engines structure ? Now the car is in service and they found leakedge from some external part by pressurizing cooling system. Water was still pink and clear after 2000 km drive. I just added clean water regurarily to keep water level up (1-1,5 liters during 5 weeks / 2000 km)

Got the car back from service. They changed intake manifold gasket. Hopefully coolant water stays inside for some time :-).
