Default Freelander 2 Hdc

From new my Freelander 2 TD4 has had a problem with the HDC control. When trying to engage it I get an error message that HDC is not available in this gear - this is however in 1st gear! If I hold the gearlever and push it forward and hold it the message disappears - let go and it reappears. It's been into the LR garage 5 times now for 3 days at a time but still no remedy. Any ideas?

give me some time, this one is complicated and its new.

first are you pushing the clutch in all the way when the error appears.

if it does appear does the vehicle stall because its not sure what gear its in.

how does HDC on reverse work? Same condition or does it work completely with the proper gear change?

YES. SAME ERROR WHETHER CLUTCH ENGAGED OR DISENGAGED. ERROR APPEARS AS HDC SWITCH OPERATED.

WOULD STALL BECAUSE STILL IN NORMAL 1ST GERA - HDC DOES NOT ENGAGE.

OK IN REVERSE.
