I too have just bought an 03 freelander td4 and can't get a 2nd year service for less than £400 from an authorised dealer. The previous owner didn't both taking it in and it now has 26000 on the clock so I guess the warranty is probably void anyway. I'm gonna bite the bullet and go to a not so authorised garage and pay £200 all in. I'm all for looking after my 4x4 but these dealers just take the p**s. What do they do - give your vehicle a £200 service and the charge you an extra 200 quid for the washer bottle top-up and air freshener. Grrrrr. Rant over.

Default Independant

Hi Mate,

An independant like me can do it at about half the dealer cost as long as genuine parts are used and the garage is vat registered.

If you lert me know where you are i could possibly recomend a centre to go to.

Regards

dave
