Default Help Me Please!

Hi,
I have a 2002 Freelander. The sunroof on it won't close anymore. I had it open the other day and then when i went to close it, it did not move. The motor still makes noises but the sunroof is not moving. My friend tried to pull it and some of it closed. the motor still makes noise but it still won't close. What should I do? Please I really need help!!

pull out the light and take out the motor and operate it to see if it moves. if it does then its the slides damaged.

most likely the sunroof tracks. they have plastic gears... terrible design... if the motor is still running than the sun roof tracks are stripped or broken.

Default Sunroof Broken - Loud Popping Sound - Sunroof Motor Good!

Just because the sunroof motor still runs does not mean that its Good.

Many times you will find that the Metal Cog Gear that is attached to the sunroof motor becomes NON-functional when the Metal Gear becomes Worn in the middle and no longer makes contact with the sunroof cables.

Landrover does not sell just the Gear you must purchase a new or Used Sunroof motor to get the Gear.

We have used Motor with un-damaged Gears in stock as well as Reconditioned Sunroof rails.

Let me know how i can help in any way.

Bill
