help please on changing wing mirror

had to buy new wing mirror and no idea how to get the broken one off and the new one on, dont mean the mirrror glass. i need to know how to get the whole unit off

You need to prize off the triangular plastic trim from the inside of the door. I think there are a couple of clips. Do it with a plastic spatula and you are less likely to damage the trim.

Then it is a couple of screws and Bob is your uncle.
