Default Hi, From New York City...

Hi, I'm Mac from The Bronx and just want to say hi from New York City...

(Anyone else from the Tri-State Area?)

Picked-up a Stornaway Grey LR2 fully loaded just 3 weeks ago and I'm really enjoying it.The car is runing great, for a heavy little pig it has very good acceleration from a stop and the engine handles the added weight very well.

I'm looking forward to personalizing my LR2, for now I'm trying to find a website that sells the "Grill & Rear Wing" and some great pictures of what people have done to there LR2.

I'll do a search and see what I come up with.

Mac

Welcome Mac. There are quite a few rover owners in your area, such as myself. I lived in Manhattan almost all my life, but now in NJ. You should come out and meet the group. You'll enjoy it. Very diverse group of people around here. Very cool guys and gals to meet.

Thanks, I live and work in NYC as well. I work in Central Park climbing and cutting down dead, dying and diseased trees (also caring for them).

I look forward to some excursions/meets in the near future.

Yeah, I can use some help installing/swaping the high beam bulbs on the LR2 with some PIAA bulbs, the instructions in the owners manual looks simple enough but I would like to have someone there machanically incline for support.

I had the Spec.B hooked up really nice, I had it at Stage2 with a Turbo Back Exhuast, Bigger Intercooler, Up & Downpipes, ECU AccessPORT Custom Tune, Cold Air Intake, Larger Swaybars & Endlinks and JIC Coilovers. The car was pulling 280HP to the wheels and 320lbs of Torque.

I wish there was some simple bolt-on modifications for the LR2.

Hey,
I'm also from New York... about an hour north of NYC. I just picked up my Stornoway Grey LR2 yesterday and so far I'm loving it! I'm looking to pick up a trailer hitch so that I can tow my Jet Ski around. Anyone know where I can find the OEM accessories for the LR2. My dealer said that they are out now but all many dealers have very low stock (mine didnt have any ).

Holy crap $490!!!

Try this place for much less:

http://www.roverconnection.com/FRA/frtow.htm

LRK20910 Tow Bar Kit (1.25" receiver) $165*
LRK20920 Towing Electrics Kit $105
LRK20930 Trailer Hitch Kit (1.25" Ball Mount) $100*
includes ball mount, "Adaptaball" mounting pin, 1-7/8" ball & locking hitch pin, in a custom carry case with Land Rover Logo

Give them a call. It might be a different setup then the Freelander one.

Any if they have to cut/change the rear bumper facia to install the trailer hitch on the LR2? Or is it like the LR3 where it kind of hooks under/around the bumper? http://www.landroverusa.com/us/en/Ve...DF_502x670.jpg

I believe that one only fits the original freelander. It's a Class II (1.25" ) receiver. The one that fits the LR2/Freelander2 is a class III (2") receiver.

Also who is Steve and what is DAP?? Sorry I'm the new guy
