Default Land Rover Freelander is a girls SUV

That or a sissy SUV. Actually a girly version of any other Land Rover. Are these things even real Land Rovers? Lol I don't think so. It's hard to even tell they are a Land Rover unless you really look.

Why would anyone get a Freelander?

Actually, you will see alot of women driving Disco's,,,,, It is not as large as the Range and is still a full size SUV, car seats, cargo, safety, 4x4 in the snow etc.... Many woman like the status of the DII as it is more glam than a say Ford Explorer. It is also very popular with woman that lead an alternative lifestyle, so my girlfriends say.

Watch who drives a Disco, I think you will see as many women as men. Not on this forum, but driving down the road, mall crawlers - (maintained by the dealership). That is the purpose behind Disco Girl 4x4 Website. This will be an informative place for women to go for LR info and a sense of community.

We proactively seek out female DII drivers and invite them to join. Soon we will hit the trail together and form a club. Guys can join too but the focus is female. This is also to keep women from getting ripped of at the dealership as we discuss the DII issues much like the forum here. I will also be conducting maintenance and up-keep workshops and teach general repair through online training tutorials.....ok enough letting the cat out of the bag...stay tuned, we should launch soon!

Luv ya WLA but my DII will crawl up and over your street machine.

Ill tell my wife, she already wants to drive it every day...

Regards to the OP: the Freelander is based off of the Ford Escape. It has a smaller wheelbase. Its the whole cross platform crap that the auto industry uses to "fool" the consumer. Rebadge a car, throw a different grill on and bam! its a different model. Been going on forever, but it seems to be more prevalent lately. I understand the reasoning that you can use a smaller parts list to maintain 2 or 3 different vehicles, but dont try to placate us and say a Jeep Compass is NOT a Dodge Caliber, because it is...

I've reviewed the rules.

I'm sorry. Your right. It's just a little jab post. I'm trying to stir them up. I know I should not have posted it. I'm a huge fan of all Land Rovers but these Freelander models just make me laugh. It's like seeing a scooter with a Harley Davidson logo on it Lol.

I should not have posted it but I could not help it.

I'm sorry!
