Default LR2 Slow Throttle Response

I have 2009 LR2 and it seems to be a bit sluggish when taking off from a stop. I originally though it was just the way it is, but I had a loaner LR2 the other day and it was much more responsive. Could this be an adaptive transmission adjustment? It almost seems like it wants to start out in 2nd gear. Any thoughts, I am going to get the dealer to check it out as it has to go in for the dreaded seat movement problem. Thanks for the help.
