I am due to have my typical maintance at 36,000 miles here in the next few weeks. I was curious what the average price would be for that. I have got one quote for $550 and another quote for like $325. Please let me know if anyone knows, and also what should be done at those maintance schedules
(oil changes, spark plugs.......) Any suggestions/info would be helpful. Thx! Oh, by the way it is a 2002 Freelander LS. |

02 will get a coolant flush, a oil change, pollen filter, transmission flush, check brakes.
heres a thing though, check underneath the dash board on the driver side. if there is a pink stain on the fan motor sticker then the heater core is leaking. also too the coolant bottle leaks at the top. look for cracks in the bottle. pull up the air filter box by taking off the two hose clamps and the two turn plugs next to the oil cap. pull it off and make sure none of hte black pcv hoses are damaged or broken. replace if necessary. also look into the engine valley for some coolant. if its leaking the thermostat needs to be replaced. if no leaks then just change the coolant. the transmission has a big drain plug, drain it then fill it up by a little nipple on top of the tranny. its easy to see but its there. you need to check the transmission after it heats up. drop the small plug nearby the transmission shifter cable and if stuff comes out it needs to be refilled.
