I have a Freelander KV6 that makes a rattling noise when I accelerate.
The Dealer has diagnosed it to be a sticking lifter and suggested I add a bottle of Everon to the oil which I have done but this has not improved matters at all. Any ideas? ![]() |

I have just stripped a KV6 and found one of the cams( inlet) was damaged at the pulley drive side. A chunk of shaft had come off causing the cam to move inside the drive gear. Easy to check take off the black plastic covers and test. Do not be alarmed by the apparent movement of cams Good luck Derek
