Default Service engine soon

Changed the oil on my Freelander 2002, and shortly after noticed the amber "service engine soon light". All fluids levels are correct.
Is there a reset for this?

My '02 did the same exact thing. I unfortunately have no idea either and I also learned a long time that 9 out of 10 times those lights are a false alarm and I tend to ignore them. (Regardless of make and model of vehicle) Call me crazy...

They can 'false' from time to time - disconnect the car battery for about 5 minutes - this clears the ECU memory. If the light was 'false' it will not come back on when the battery is connected. If it does come back on then there is a false indication and should be diagmosed. Likewise if it comes back on later - go through the same routine - if the light stays on get it checked.

It just needs the Service Light resetting.
