Hi,
I have a 04 Freelaner 2.5L V6 Petrol... Lately I've been hearing a loud shuddering noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. It mainly occurs when driving on rough/bumpy roads, or when braking down o slope. Has anyone else been having this problem? And does anyone have any ideas what it may be? BlK_Ronin |

The diff has 3 mounting points - 2 to the rear but only 1 at the front. The front one often chews out the rubber and can cause a knocking sound when changing down gears. If it is this, the whole front mount will have to be replaced - not a big deal.
As it is relatively easy to check - check this first before the hard stuff like bearings, drive shafts, CVs etc. Garry |
