Hi everyone
my husband just bought himself a 2002 freelander. The SRS light is on. After reading a bit on the Internet, apparently this is a common problem for the light to come on, yet it doesn't effect the airbags performance.
we have been quoted $180 to get it reset at the Richmond VA dealership. Is this a good deal, and....is it something you can re set yourself??

It has be be reset with the factory diagnostic tool T4. $180 sounds like a lot, but I have never heard of the "common problem" you are referring to and I've been a rover tech for 4 years.
