Default Sunshield for Sunroof

The amount of light and heat that gets let in thru the sunroof is unbearable in Florida; does LR have something other than that "perforated shield"?

Default Quick Fix

I live in Tampa so I feel you. I just have a quick fix tip. I got one of the jumbo windshield foil shades and cut it to fit the sun and moon roof. I slid it up there and it works great. But you have to ge the biggest one you can find (think Ford Excursion) because you have to cut it to fit. It made a huge difference. Kinda cheap I know but if you slid the screen shade shut any passanger that you have will hardly notice. Best of luck.

What do you think about putting window tint on the inside of the glass? It's flat so it should be an easy do-it-yourself.

Default Tinting of Sunroof

I don't know if "I" would try tinting my sunroof, only because i have seen some bad tint jobs and they look horrible, and I happen to love my Landy and dont want to put her through that. But it is on my list of stuff to do when I get back home (I am currently in Lovely Iraq and on my way to even Lovelier Afghanistan withing the week) So when I return in a few short months that is one of the numerous things that I have to get done. I am thinking of some super black Limo tint. I would go for Mirror but something tells me that would look like crap and would just help the Pasco County Sheriff Department helicopters track me so not sure if that would be a good Idea But in theory it should work I see no reason why it shouldn't.
