Tailgate - Land Rovers Only

Hi folks,
I have a small problem I am hoping somebody can help with. I can't get the tailgate open on my TD4. The wiper and washer works and the wiper is in it's down position. The rear glass will not come down when using the key fob or the internal switch and therefore I can't open the door. Any ideas would be most welcome. I have tried disconnecting the battery but this did nothing.

My guess would be the tail door glass regulator has failed. I would suggest a trip to the dealer as removal/reinstall of the glass is supposed to be tricky and damage to the window heater elements is also a concern. Should be covered if you are still within the warranty.

God those things really suck to do. too many things to adjust just right. Then I had one that mysteriously lost its place and went into trap mode and would automatically go down.

We ended up disconnecting the battery to reset itself.
