Default Timing belt renewal on Freelander 2.0 DI

Hi does anyone know the timing and injector belt renewal interval on the older 2.0di freelander diesel engine (not the bmw one that has a chain).
Mine was last changed 4 years ago and we have covered 25000 miles since then.
I contacted my local Land rover dealership who at first said 96000mls
then changed their minds to 48000mls and then said there was no time limit either.
I have a feeling there talking rubish as I seem to vaguely remember 4 or 5 years between changes but I might be wrong.
THANKS

Not exactly the same, but I have the 2.4 (2002) and just had mine replaced after 70,000 miles, which is the recommended interval. Either way, I've never heard of a timing belt on any vehicle that needs to be changed sooner than 60,000 miles.

Hope this helps.

The Haynes workshop manual states that the timing belt and the fuel injection pump belt should be changed every 80,000 km/48,000 miles or four years.

I have a 1998 2 litre diesel & changed mine at the 80,000 km interval after 6 years with no problems. The old belt did not appear cracked or worn but if the belt breaks.....throw away the engine. I think the 'early' 80000km interval is to insure this won't happen.
