depends on what you are hauling, if your hauling a bike rack or something else that doesnt need electrical harness then go with Reese.
but if you want to tow a trailer I would recommend the geniune thing. LR ones plug and go, The after market ones have to have extra time involved getting them to work. Plus the installers use the most inferior scotchguard connectors and dont even seal the butt connectors from the elements. they just take all the extra wiring and strap it to the nearest thing they can find. Last customer had to pay out of pocket for their stupidity when the trailer harness wiring ground up against a frame rail. Trust me aftermarket installers rarely I mean rarely spend the extra five cents and lighter to user heat shrink butt connectors and to actually seal them from the elements. Trust me as a mechanic its pathetic what these kids in radio shops do with car starters and speakers. |
