Default Wireless Remote

Does anyone know how to programm a wireless remote for a 2002 Freelander SE? The dealer wants One hundred dollars to do it and I think that's kind of ridiculous.

only the dealer can do it.

You need to access the security module and the program from there.

only takes about ten minutes tops to get in and reprogram the remotes.

Hundred bucks for that... good grief. Try the cheaper approach that has worked for me before- approach the head tech/shop foreman and offer to buy pizza for all the techs if they'll do you the favour. Got some settings changed in my ECU and the SLS remote programmed for $30 worth of pizza. The techs don't often get rewarded for their work and they appreciate it- makes the foreman seem 'cool' so he wins too...
I can do ECU changes and stuff myself now, thank goodness...

Dudes who work on trucks all day are the kinda guys who appreciate that more than the 'suits' do.

Hey Hey, we aint those cheap ford guys.

We deserve the good stuff. Good pizza and wings.

No beer please.

Or a couple of really long subs.

And no Tacos and burritos.

Unless you want us to leave a new smell in your LR.
