For Sale! Time to let her go...1970 Marine Blue Land Rover Series IIA - 88 inch wheel base. Left hand drive, very original strong runner. 4-Speed Manual NON-synchromesh transmission (which means you have to double the clutch from 1st to 2nd gear and come to complete stop before putting into 1st). Also, no power steering, so you really get to drive this baby!!
Has original petrol engine with original bonnet mounted tire (this was an option back in 1970) This Rover was purchased in Vermont originally. Only had two previous owners! Has back mounted spare as well and even has original tool kit! Mileage shows 98,XXX, but not sure if has more, might have 198.XXX....but still runs like a champ!
Had complete frame swap, parabolic springs and wiring harness done by East Coast Rovers in Maine.
Many new parts under bonnet and other parts installed throughout.
Has custom made, stainless steel fuel tank installed by previous owner.
New reproduction front seats, rears are original.
Modern shoulder harness belts installed.

The Series IIA is considered by many to be the most hardy Series model ever constructed by Land Rover.
This Series IIA has been dry garaged since 1999.
This Rover starts and runs very well! Took it on 15 mile run the other day and performed beautifully! This is not a "perfect" Land Rover, but is very solid and drivable and with a little more work could be a great show car! Has some rust on the back floor pan, but the frame is new and very intact! Could use a paint job, body is very straight and since it is aluminum, will not rust! New rubber around windows would be good, but since was kept in dry garage for last 10 years, never was an issue.
The 4-Wheel drive system works brilliantly (in high and low range).
Will turn heads everywhere you go! Has current PA antique tags. If want more pics, please let know and will email to you.
