I am listing my 1991 Land Rover Range Rover Classic Hunter Edition. There were only 405 Hunter Editions made in 1991. The vehicle does not have sunroofs to leak, electric seats to break (this is the only Range Rover imported to North America without leather or electric seats), seat heaters to repair, or ABS to give you problems. This is the man’s version of the Range Rover. The vehicle is equipped with a custom lift kit, oversized tires that should pass state inspection, stainless steel pistons in the calipers, extended stainless steel brake lines, Bilstein shocks, dual steering stabilizers moved to the front, heavy duty front steering link and heavy duty solid stainless steel rear steering link from Rover tym. Vehicle also has front diff. guard, front bumper has been altered to incorporate auxiliary driving lamps. The front headlights are after-market with replaceable H4 bulbs equipped with a painless wiring kit which takes power directly from the battery and not through the switch to power the lights. I have ran 100 watt bulbs in these with no problem other than they were too bright for oncoming traffic. Vehicle has a center diff. lock from a Discovery, custom made roof rack, equipped with a GM alternator conversion. The exterior is in good shape for it’s year (no through corrosion - though paint is faded). The rear tail lights have brush guards on them and the upper rear tail gate is fairly new. The interior is in great shape with only slight wear on the driver’s seat edge (see pics). The headliner has been removed because it was sagging (I still have the backer). It has a roof mounted CB for trail communication.
I am a Gold Certified Land Rover Technician and ASE Certified Master Technician. I have owned the vehicle for roughly six years and all work, modifications and maintenance was done only by me.
That was the good, now for the bad. The truck recently blew a head gasket which in turn pressurized the cooling system and blew the heater core. The truck is starting to show the usual Rover symptoms of rust in the driver’s floor, rust in the rear floor at tailgate, and rust in the C pillars inside the rear doors. The swivel balls need to be resealed. The usual stuff if you know Rovers. Between work and house obligations, I do not have the time to invest to make the repairs. I have recently purchased a more family-friendly Discovery II which my wife has promptly confiscated. This would be a great truck to create a real trail monster because all the basics are there. I would be willing to get the parts for you at my cost if you’re serious about transforming or restoring this rare classic truck.
Will accept cash only $1,000 (OBO). Serious buyers only.
