I love my truck. But must admit that I yearn for a Defender or a nice 109 5 door with a modern diesel.
She's a real head turner. 1997 4.6 HSE 72 k miles at the moment. Unique well done paint job. My understanding is it cost $7k...yikes. This truck has all the bells and whistles. New brakes/rotors, and new exhaust cat back. I near destroyed the alloy wheels from hot brake dust . Planning on a bead blast then a powdercoat in black. if I keep running 18's. No mechanical problems. New battery, new K&N filters, new wiper blades all around. Exterior is in very good shape. Very few flaws. You really have to look for them. It's a beauty at 10 ft fer sure. 8.5to 9 out of 10. unless you dont like the paint ..lol Interior is I'd say a 9 out of 10. very minor wear and tear. no rips or cracks in the leather seats. everything works. really..it all works..woot. I'm located in Muncie Indiana. If you're a serious buyer I'll collect and send some photos of the truck. I'm looking for something in the neighborhood of $10.5k for the truck. but I will entertain serious offers. I would also consider partial trades for other LR vehicles or projects, as I'm quite insane. Oh yeah. the truck is pictured in my current avatar. "Rover On" Dwain

How about some pics? I'm thinking about an Alan Bates p38 conversion. That would look great with the zebra paint job. I've probably got one of the few wives that would think that was cool and would give me the go ahead. LR Nashville had one a few years ago that I always thought was cool.
Thanks, Jeff |

I went out and blasted a few pics. the battery was near dead so i only got 4.
If anyone needs any pics of certain parts or areas let me know. Remember this truck is a DD so it's not detailed and showroom looking. In looking at pic #3 it appears that there may be a dent in rear passenger door. it's just a reflection if the rim from my other Rover. Insofar as the Bates conversions..I do like/really like his rear bumper swing tire mounting Idea. I'm unsure if i'm a fan of removing the air suspension. But must admit that I have been considering it in order to allow the fitting of larger offroad tires. More history on the truck. I've owned it since oct 2002. I know very little about it prior. Other than as a show of the huge bullocks that I carry..i bought it off ebay. from Dallas TX. I do know it's been very dependable. and has never suffered any kind of breakdowns on me. Just reg maint things..like the brakes that I waited way to long to replace. The truck has not undergone it's 70k checkup.
