Here are some numbers from the Manheim Market Report

For a 2003 HSE
07/10/08 MANHEIM Regular $17,600 87,702 Avg BLK/SUPN 8G Yes
07/11/08 MANHEIM Regular $17,600 74,484 Avg GREEN 8G Yes
07/24/08 MANHEIM Lease $16,500 86,255 Avg JAVABLK 8G T Yes
07/25/08 MANHEIM Regular $17,400 68,054 Avg SILVER 8G Yes
08/01/08 MANHEIM Regular $16,700 58,981 Avg GREEN 8G A Yes

For a 2004 HSE
07/24/08 MANHEIM Lease $21,750 62,942 Avg JAVA BLK 8G T Yes
07/24/08 MANHEIM Lease $21,500 24,712 Avg JAVABLK 8G T Yes
07/24/08 MANHEIM Lease $20,750 36,723 Avg GREY 8G T Yes
07/24/08 MANHEIM Lease $19,250 66,293 Avg ADR BLUE 8G T Yes
07/24/08 MANHEIM Regular $17,600 68,720 Avg BLUE 8G A Yes
07/25/08 MANHEIM Regular $23,000 63,009 Above BLACK 8G Yes
08/01/08 MANHEIM Regular $18,000 76,018 Avg BLUE 8G A Yes

On top of these prices we pay the auction house a BUYER'S FEE ( no way around it everyone pays it ) that will be around 400.00 more or less , you'll see it in the invoice.

Now for you going to the Manheim Auctions, sorry YOU CAN'T as it is for Dealers or Financial Institutions ONLY.

I know there are some dealers that will charge you a fee and take you there.
If you want one from Manheim PA ( I could help you, but you will have to seat at the cafeteria, because LEGALLY you are not allowed to enter the auction, I know some Dealers do that , but I wouldn't ) , and I will not charge you a penny, just a beer afterwards will do.

NOW for the disclaimmer, THERE IS NO BUYERS REMORSE, you bid , you bought it. No guarantees as to Brakes, radio, A/C and few other silly things. The vehicle can be placed on a POST SALE INSPECTION wich they charge you a fee of 150.00 approx and they guarantee to make right any problem related to Engine and Tranny for 14 days.

Hope this helps

That's a good joke there. Didn't you get called out on dweb last month, for being less than fair.

You are CORRECT, but in all fairness, I did not start the name calling, or the insults, I was and are always fair, I just don't react well at insults, because I don't do it nor expect it.
I am a firm believer that exchanging points of view ( while agreeing or not, it is not important ) simply shall be done with respect.

We can all have different opinions, and by exchanging them, we learn, I am still to learn something from name calling, and those who do, more than once, have learnt what a fat lip looks like ( if that takes place in person ), so in essence , what good does it do?

And that is why I made the statement of him being fair here on other forums, while it is irrelevant if he did agree with me or did not , he has never resorted to name calling.

Thanks for pointing it out

I don't know you good or bad, but your impression that you left on dweb was less than favorable, I don't frequent this site and post much but I have been a rover nut for years, and post quite frequently on dweb, yet you appear to be new to the game? So I haven't judged you yet, just watching your actions.

As for the seller here, armyrover hit it on the head you come off salesman style here. Like I said you paid too much, that is business, the economy really put the hurting on you not the marque. Newer rovers need to be flipped quickly especially in todays climate. Count it as lesson learned.

I agree with you, regretfully ( as many of those who called names have left the same impression on me ), it happened, and what it's done it's done; we can't turn the clock back. Hopefully, time will let that bad moment go, and we can move on.

I like you ( I lurked through this forums for years ) have been a Rover Owner/Enthusiast for years, before I did not post, just lurked, and I guess when I posted on that site, all heck broke loose.

There is not much to watch on me, I am very simple, you'll see it if you have any interest. I'll tend to help those who need or ask for it, and always give them the respect I expect.

Thank you for your post.

IMO it is not an issue of the price, but the fact that it does not have a warranty.

The person in the market for a Rover like this is much better off buying CPO from a dealer for the same money and he will get a 6 year 75k insurance policy to handle pesky little issues like the air suspension.

Like he said, he has no IDEA what he is in for and he has no business selling Rovers.
Go back to selling Hondas, rule #1 in business, stick with what you know, unless you "work" for daddy then you can do pretty much what ever you like!!!!! lmao

PS. I believe it is pretty ironic that a used car salesman is crying about hash words from a bunch of amatures. Just think of all the people he has hosed over the years.......karma is a bytch huh????

Appreciate the kind words there pal.

Your right I had no business in selling rovers but now I do and now I'll know what to pay for them. It's the case of live and learn my friend and this has been a very valuable learning expierence.

I also had a 2007 LR3 SE and it was a great price for my customer and for us as well so I'm learning the market on these crazy vehicles. Since I was able to get 2 2006 Toyota Prius' in I'll be able to absorb some of the loss on the Rover and chalk it up as a Learning experience.

And about your karma crack...... thank you for stirring me in the pot with all the other car dealerships but that wasn't a fair statement. The only reason for my existance is the way I treat my customers. We have an amazing reputation in our city and I don't EVER have to worry about karma, I do things the right way, the first time, every time or I just won't do it. That's the only way we could build up a 16 year old company from the ground up with out any advertising.

And the whole daddy thing.........yea that was funny I'm actually 34 and in the middle of a buyout from the "daddy" so I do make the decisions. Sometimes good and well it's obvious from this thread, sometimes bad.

So anyways.....thanks to some of you for really giving me a good education on the Rover Market. I know exactly to the penny where to be on any Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Mazda,etc........ and I rarely loose on them. But I'll admit I was a little of on the Rover market.
