SOLD/DEALER TRADED today. I now have a dependable commuter and can focus on TLC for my Classic.
--------------------------------- I am thinking of splitting up the girls. I can't part with the Classic, but the 4.6seems a little thirsty in this day of costly fuel prices. Have already been out to KBB.com and similar tools, and I've been looking out on ebay. What I'd like to know is what this forum thinks the reasonable price range is for her. Note there are things I'd have to get corrected before selling. see below. ;-) Description -overall i'd rate her at fair to good condition, once I have addressed all the repair items below. definitely not excellent condition. -78K miles -Black paint is in pretty good condition, not perfect, a couple door dings -everything electrical works (true statement) -Range Rover decals front and read need replacing -Windshield has one stone chip and one crack in it on driver side, assume this would be fixed prior to sale or deducted from sale price -Brake accumulator sphere needs replacement, assume this would be replaced prior to sale -Recent tires, new shocks, air suspension is working (knock on wood) -doesn't leak oil (ok thats a lie, but doesnt leak much) -slight driveline clonk shifting between park and reverse -recent new battery -interior is in really good shape except headliner has a couple saggy areas (i'd consider fixing this prior to sale if it would make a big difference) -has an airbag warning lamp on, SRS sensor has corroded contact, I am fixing -driver window regulator needs fix, assume this will be fixed prior to sale -engine has a slight pushrod noise from right cyl bank at low RPM only

OK Army here are a few better shots I snapped today. This is what I replaced my 4.6 with.
The dash. 6 disk in dash changer for the 10 speaker premium stereo. Also has Sirius satellite radio and built in support for IPOD. Formula 1 style wheel with paddle shifters. 6 speed tiptronic transmission. The wheel has a little R emblem with 4086 /5000 on it. Not exactly a rare car, but not as common as the garden variety GTI. ![]() All of those miles except the 44 it came with from the factory test course are mine. Notice also the conspicuous absence of Airbag Warning!, EAS Fault!, Window Not Set! etc etc... ![]() High end sport seats in anthracite leather. Heated, very supportive, very comfortable. Power lumbar. Height, forward/back, headrest, seatback angle are all manual (odd... but this is a VW quirk I am told) ![]() One badassed Rabbit. United Grey metallic. Going to the tint shop next week. ![]() Not the most flattering angle, but thats the Rabbit shape.. R32 is set off by roof spoiler and two chrome exhaust tips in center. ![]() The R32 badge ![]() Volkswagen's 3.2 liter V6 engine. Transverse mounted. Mated to 6 speed tiptronic transmission and driving the wheels through all wheel drive (VW-Audi quattro system). Center Diff is capable of locking. Electronic Stability control system. 250 horsepower engine from the Passat VR6 crammed into a Rabbit. Interesting tidbit: no power steering pump and reservoir. Steering is electromechanical. One less drag on the engine. ![]() Relatively large 18 inch wheels. Huge brakes - check out blue calipers, exclusive to the R32. ![]()
