what's the price?!..my girlfriend is looking for a jetta, i'm not sure how she feels about the TDi though...i love the diesel knock knock knock...anyway, send me the price, and some pics if you can.

I know what he means; it's tough to drive that car like a grandmother. I have an '02 Tdi as my daily driver and was AMAZED how fun it is to drive the first time I got behind the wheel.
When I went to the dealership to buy a Jetta, I was set on the VR6, but the Tdi looked so good on paper that I wanted to drive one first. I was sure that even with the turbo, the 90 horsepower engine would be a dog. Boy was I wrong. The gearing and 5-speed combo is set up perfectly for that engine and it is deceivingly peppy. The turbo kicks in seamlessly right when you need it and I get well over 500 miles to a tank in city driving, better if I drive carefully - but why?
I liked the Tdi so much that I figured the VR6 would be a rocket, but it really didn't impress me much so I bought the Diesel and don't regret it at all, especially now that gas is so much $.
