You need to post up more info if you hope to get any help.

Front or rear ?
Since you say 1999 Defender, it isn't a US Truck so saying 'passenger side' could be right or left side.
If it's a Rear axle, is it a Salisbury (110) or Land Rover Axle (90)
If it's Salsbury, Which spline?
If he's that close to being back home, he's not in too much trouble. If he's in a panic, he better get what he can, and worry about the $ later. If he's not having a good time, He ought to think about a Toyota.
RDS would likely have what he needs, Maybe RN if it's the same as a US imported Defender axle.

No is not a US truck but the steering wheel is to the left (like US) so that will be the rear right side of the truck ..
He just call me with the parts number LR # FTC 1724 driving shaft and driving plange shaft # RUC 105200

That's a 24 spline drive flange. You can get that anywhere, the axleshaft is probably on hand at RDS (504) 248-5301

Can't he pull the broken shaft and maybe the rear drive shaft as well and lock his transfer case center diff and drive with the front axle only?

Steve
