Default Big Cypress

Took a scenic trip to Big Cypress on Friday. We didn't stray too far off the road cause it was mostly under water and full of gators.

Just getting started

Looks like when we run the trails at Blue Cypress and Lake Okeechobee. More wildlife than usual this time of year. Maybe the median temps we have been getting. Nice photos, thanks for sharing.

Your welcome...
Warm temperatures and lots of rain last summer is my guess too. Too bad all the rain didn't help bring up the lake level. There's already talk of water use restrictions again and hurricane (rainy) season just ended.

It's a scenic drive off highway 41 called Loop Road. It starts at the Tamiami Ranger Station to the east and comes out at Monroe Station to the west. It takes you out through Dayhoff Slough, Sweetwater Strand and Gator Hook Strand. There are some hiking trails out there also. Sorry, I don't have coordinates.
