I have no lift and probably wont get stiffer springs for a while.I enjoy wheeling mostly stock Land Rovers, they do so well.Im ordering my OME shocks on friday.I will have to break down and buy springs before the bumper and winch,But thats a ways off and i dont mind using a come a long

Those tires i got are dunlop mud rovers. They are cheeeeeeeep and they wheel pretty good.Quiet too, wont last as long as a bfg,but for the price i cant complain.

I have never seen a rd sign.I guess i need to pay more attention

I had a great time at bear valley buying my rover.I talked to those guys for hours.Longest it has ever taken me to buy a rover.I told them my rover would do more than sit in a buckhead parking lot

Ok everyone, I will be headed out Friday 4/18 to north GA. I will be meeting a friend in either his Jeep or Jeepster -yet to be determined. We will camp out Friday night and then do some riding in around Amicalola area on Sat. Headed back south late afternoon/evening. That area looks fun but doable and safe with my fairly stock DII. FYI - brooksa, I have my bumper being installed on Monday am - I haven't done my suspension yet. Hoping my nose isn't hanging too low, probably not since it won't have a winch yet.

Anyone is welcome. I will have my kids (6,9,10), please respect that. I don't keep them in a bubble but nor do I want them on the battlefield quite yet.

Our plans are to find a campsite somewhere Friday afternoon and claim that! If you want to ride up Sat am and meet us, that will work. If you want to camp Friday nite, that's fine too. Shoot me a PM and I can pass on some contact information.

My friend and I have done this for years on our KLR's and it is very "on the fly" so this is a first for us in the trucks. I have a forest service map and am familiar with lots of roads due to the KLR riding. Is Amicalola enough for one day or should we plan additional roads for Sat?

Micah

If we finish the trails quickly. I'm all for doing them a couple of times but I'd love to check out other roads in the area as well. You have other ideas? I got your PM, I'll get back to you on that as well.

It would be a 1 in a thousand chance to get to wheel in fog like that here in Texas. You might get lucky right after a rain storm and it might get foggy, but that would be it. Those are truly some awesome pics!

bama,
Will do, I have not had a LR for about the last 6 or 7 years and bought a DII at the end of last year and caught the fever again, so I'm pretty much game anytime, just let me know.
