Default Driving on the beach

I will be going out to Cape Cod the week after next and plan on doing some beach driving. I have a small compressor but I don’t want to sit there all day refilling my tires. I was looking at an air tank at Harbor Freight: 10 gallons up to 200 psi. I obviously could only fill the tank to about 125-150 psi. How may tires could I refill from 15 to 35? 255/70/16R’s. I don’t have the money and don’t drive in sand often enough to get a power tank.

Thanks
Greg H

How far away are you going to be away from a fuel station when you are finished. Just get them above 20psi with your compressor and drive at a moderate speed to the fuel station. Alternatively, a better compressor does not cost a fortune and it is something that you will use each time you go offroad and not just sand.

Don't waste your time/money buying a tank, it won't get you thru 1 set of tires.
Co2 or a close gas station.

Default Tried an experiment

Just for fun I aired down two tires to 15 psi and tried refilling them from the 6 gallon pancake compressor tank. I was able to get one up to 35 and the other up to 25 before it ran out. So I figure a 10 gallon tank would do only 2 tires back up to 35. Then I tried my little 12 volt compressor and it took 11 minutes to go from 15 to 35. Still too long.

So the tank idea is out and I don't want to sit around for 45 minutes airing back up. I think I'll look at that high volume compressor that Harbor Freight has.

I think it will be wastage of time as well as money.so its better to go some sort of place where it is near to gas station.
