Default A few Texas Rovers playing offroad

Meant to post this a couple weeks ago after we went out. A 6 minute highlight video. Had some fun playing at Hidden Falls Adventure Park with some of the guys. I think we had about 6-7 trucks out there. It poured down rain in the morning making for some really fun slippery Texas mud. Took a little judicious use of the go pedal to make some climbs.

One unfortunate Disco driver lost two tires that weekend.

What kind of tires was he using to blow out 2? Or was he aired down too much?

He de-beaded one and sliced the other as you saw in the vid. The first was due to possibly too low of pressure. The other just plain bad luck. No other truck cut their tire on that rock though almost all did get a little rash on their wheel. I want to say he was running Kumhos but don't quote me on that.

He was in a D1. Luckily I took out my RRC instead of the Defender. I was running the same size tires as he was so I loaned him my spare to get him home. If I'd been in the 90 we'd have had no spares in his size with us. His steelie lugs wouldn't fit my alloy wheel so I borrowed one lug off every wheel on my truck and ran home with 4 on each. He ran home with 4 lugs on that wheel too. That ended the fun for me and him. Neither of us wanted to wheel hard with only 4 lugs.

It's near Marble Falls. So from Tyler it's about 250 miles or so. They have a lot of places to play for both 4x4s and bikes/quads and a shooting range. RV spots and both primitive and improved camping. There are real restrooms and showers too. The camping is under big oaks so it's nice and shady. Having a power outlet to plug a fan into at night makes summer camping bearable even.

That's a really nice looking site for some off-roading. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
